The new Sony Xperia Z Ultra: blurring the line between smartphone and tablet

Sony has unveiled the latest edition to its Xperia family which is set to launch today. The Xperia Z Ultra has a 6.4-inch full HD screen and a 6.5mm body which is said to be the thinnest smartphone on the market to date.

Dropping your phone in the bath will no longer be a catastrophe because this smartphone is waterproof. Sony has said the Xperia Z Ultra can be immersed in freshwater up to a depth of 1.5m for 30 minutes. With an 8MP camera, users can take photos and record videos whilst underwater.

It is also great for business users too with its super responsive screen and handwriting recognition as a key feature. Users have the ability to write notes or sketches whilst on a call with any pencil or metal tip pen so it doesn’t matter if you forget to carry a stylus with you.
