It was announced yesterday that Nokia has joined forces with Apple (despite having had its own disputes with Apple in the past) in its request for a permanent injunction against several Samsung products.
It was ruled that in order to secure a ban on Samsung’s products, Apple must establish a “casual nexus” between its patented feature and the demand for its phones. However, Nokia objected to this as it claimed it “could cause wide-ranging damage to the United States patent protection landscape.”
