The Interactive Advertising Bureau has revealed that mobile advertising spend rose to $3.4 billion in 2012, up 111% from the prior year’s record levels. This means mobile advertising now accounts for 9% of all digital revenue due to the increasing spend on mobile devices and advertisers taking advantage of the increasing number of new consumers.
But with the various limitations of mobile banner ads, such as: the amount of space they occupy on the small screen – ruining the app experience, what other alternatives are there for developers?
