In today’s Meet The Team, we hear from Disha Mehta, Account Manager at Catchy. Disha discusses the global influences of her career journey and her current role in managing our client accounts and driving developer marketing roadmaps.

With post-graduate degrees from the University of Nottingham (UK) and RMIT (Australia), she has spent the last nine years immersed in the fast-paced world of B2B marketing. Having grown up in India and lived in the UK, Australia, Costa Rica, and now, finally, Canada, she considers her varied experiences and multicultural perspective to be her superpower, allowing her to bring meaningful insights to everything she does.

Disha joined Catchy as an Account Manager in 2023. She oversees a number of key accounts and supports the agency's growing portfolio of work.

Can you tell us about your role at Catchy?

Being an Account Manager is all about finding the balance between empowering our internal teams to produce their best work and helping our client consistently achieve their goals. Everything we do is grounded in strategy, creative thinking, and a drive to deliver the best possible customer experience.

What are some of the most important qualities for an Account Manager to have in your opinion?

Being an Account Manager is all about building strong relationships and collaborating across internal and external teams. Beyond that, the ability to remain agile and quickly shift priorities without losing focus is key, especially in our industry. You have to shift between being in the weeds and zooming out for the 10,000-foot view in a matter of minutes.

Which Catchy value do you strongly resonate with and why? (Collaborative, Fluid, Inclusive, Accountable)

This is an easy one; it’s got to be collaborative. The congruence of many brilliant minds, ideas, and expertise allows us to excel at what we do. It’s fascinating to see projects come to life as people draw on their individual experiences to achieve a common goal. You’re always learning something new here or finding ways to grow, and I’m incredibly grateful for that.

Can you share a bit about your background and how you decided to become an Account Manager?

An Account Manager is the primary liaison between the agency and our clients. I thrive in this space because it allows me to apply my varied skills at different cross-sections across the workflow. Whether that’s understanding and helping meet client needs, managing strong relationships, or overseeing project execution. No two days are the same; you’re always thinking on your feet, and I love that about what I do.

Do you have any advice for your younger self?

Your unique perspective can be a valuable contribution, so trust your instincts and voice your opinions, even if they differ from others. In fact, healthy debate is the cornerstone of innovation.

And finally, it’s okay not to have it all figured out all the time. Everyone’s journey looks different; just trust the process.

What are you most proud of in your professional career so far?

I feel proud of how far I’ve come and recognize how much further there still is to go. I’ve been blessed to be part of incredible teams, work with some of the best clients, and learn from people at the top of their game. I’m excited to see where the road ahead takes me.
