In today’s Meet The Team, we hear from Carolina Oaks, Account Director, about her journey at Catchy and her role in managing our client accounts and driving developer marketing roadmaps.

A graduate of Towson University, Carolina has lived in Panama, Tampa, DC, NYC, Seattle, San Diego, and is currently in Denver planning her next move. Raised by a diplomat, she was exposed to different cultures and met people from all over the world, giving her a profound appreciation for diversity and allowing her to bring unique perspectives to her work.

Carolina joined Catchy as Account Director in January 2023. In this role, she oversees several of Catchy’s key accounts and grows the agency's portfolio of work.

What are your primary responsibilities as an Account Director at Catchy?

It’s all about keeping our clients happy and helping them reach their goals. I'm the bridge between our clients and our talented team so my days are filled with collaborating closely with internal teams to devise and execute marketing strategies that deliver tangible results, all while fostering the growth of our key accounts.

What are some of the most important qualities for an Account Director to have?

You've got to be a good communicator, a strong collaborator, and someone who has a passion for building and nurturing relationships. Oh, and being adaptable is key because, in the ever-changing world of marketing and technology, you've gotta go with the flow.

Which Catchy value do you strongly resonate with and why? (Collaborative, Fluid, Inclusive, Accountable)

I'm all about that "Collaborative" vibe. Marketing is a team sport and I believe some of the best marketing solutions are born from collective brilliance.

What initially drew you to the field of account management, and how has your relationship with it evolved since moving into developer marketing?

Account management is the heart and soul of client success. I've always loved connecting with people and helping businesses thrive, so it was a natural fit from the beginning. Diving into developer marketing has added a whole new layer of excitement as I get to work with both business and technical experts on our client teams.

What are you most proud of in your professional career so far?

I'm most proud of where my career has led me—to a place where I've found a home with an extraordinary group of people and amazing clients. The journey has been all about facilitating transformations, whether it's helping clients achieve their big dreams or being a part of the growth and success of the Catchy team.
