HTC delays launch of HTC One due to component shortages
HTC‘s latest flagship handset: the HTC One was scheduled for release in the third week of March but has now been pushed back due to a shortage of components, including metal casings and camera parts. It would seem one of the reasons HTC has been let down by its suppliers is because it is no longer a tier-one customer.
However it did state: “We will start fulfilling pre-orders by end March in certain markets and will roll out to more markets as we approach April.” For this reason, it is expected to come up against its rival Galaxy S4 at the same time.
