Google Now available on iOS devices

Google’s predictive search app: Google Now is now available on Apple’s iOS app store (previously Android only).

Many features have been moved across from the Android app, including: weather, traffic, flights, hotels, appointments, packages, restaurant reservations, public transit, movie tickets, currency conversions and translation. The app also uses WiFi location only (not GPS) to conserve battery by recognizing entrance and exits from locations of importance.

Whilst receiving a friendly welcome, it has also been said to be lacking in a few areas; missing features from the Android app such as; nearby events, research topics and events, lack of push notifications and the fact it can only be activated from within the Search app.
