Calorie Counter & Diet Tracker, developed by MyFitnessPal, is a great app for those who started their health kick at the beginning of January, gave it in a week later and have now decided to get back on top of it.
A few of us in the office have been using the app recently and found it to be the best diet tracker app yet. The reason being that there isn’t one item of food that we haven’t been able to find due to the 1.2 million foods listed. This makes it much easier to track your daily food intake as the nutritional value of each item is listed on the app already. And if you can’t find it, you can simply scan the bar code and it will come up with all the information you need.
The diary itself is great for tracking both the calories you’re eating and the calories you’re burning through exercise. For example, you can add your walk from the train station to work, the time it took you and the pace at which you walked it, it then tells you exactly how many calories you have burnt. As well as the amount of calories you burn through various exercises at the gym (all listed on the app).
It also gives you a very achievable weight loss target through the information you’ve entered, such as; how much you want to lose, when you want to have lost it by, your height and current weight.
