Introducing the Xiaomi Mi Pad tablet

Xiaomi unveiled their first tablet the Mi Pad, in Beijing this Thursday.  The company was founded in 2010, and quickly established itself in China's saturated mobile marketplace, recently becoming the country's third largest smartphone vendor.  The Mi Pad tablet is strikingly similar in design to the Apple iPad mini, with an identical 7.9-inch screen, 4:3 aspect ratio and 2,048 x 1,536 resolution.
